Senior Engineer, RF/EM Design

This position focuses on the design of the electromagnetic elements of both active and passive RFICs and laminate modules for cellular handset applications. The RF/EM Design Engineer will be responsible for the electromagnetic design and validation of product lines including multi-throw RF switches, LNAs, integrated matching networks, filters, couplers, and full cellular front end modules. This design engineer will be responsible for creating and maintaining simulations tools to optimize product performance, enabling the entire team to create improved designs. As part of a product design team, the engineer will work with other RFIC circuit designers to create high performance solutions through passive design and co-simulation.
Roles & Responsibilities
This position has responsibility for:
Passive RF Component Design and Validation: Develop passive components for integration in RFIC products, by providing design, layout and EM modelling support
Product Design and Validation: Create high performance products through co-design of passive and active devices; Develop and utilize methodology for co-simulation of active and passive to ensure first pass success of RFIC product tapeouts
Passive Measurement: Verify designs in the lab using RF measurement equipment at both the component and product level
EM Modeling: Provide guidance and develop EM modeling techniques and tools to the organization
Technology Development: Provide input on technology and process enhancements to create product performance improvements

Minimum Qualifications (Experience and Skills)
2 years of RF/microwave EM analysis/simulation experience
Emphasis on RF circuit and/or microwave theory
Knowledge of CMOS devices
Knowledge of IC fabrication and how impact to circuit performance
Familiarity with RF IC layout techniques and tapeout process
Strength in documentation clarity and completeness
Ability to clearly assess and manage risk
Team player with a strong sense of urgency to meet product requirements on schedule
Hands on use of RF measurement equipment to validate performance
Experience with: Cadence, Ansoft EM Tools (HFSS, Q3D), Sonnet, EMX, Agilent ADS and Momentum
Preferred Qualifications
2-5 years of RF/microwave passive component design
Education Requirements
MSEE or equivalent

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
