Maintenance Supervisor

JOB Overview:
The Maintenance Supervisor plans, directs, and supervise all maintenance activities required to support all packaging and associated operations to ensure customer requirements and plant schedules are met efficiently. This position is a floater and will be covering all shifts for vacations, so must be open to work different shifts, based on need. JOB
Responsibilities:
Overall accountability for equipment reliability to ensure production and other operating requirements are met and meet quality standards. Educates, develops, and motivates the maintenance work force to achieve required production, safety, and quality goals while improving technical and teamwork skills. Assists in the management of the maintenance and capital budgets. Must have experience in Six Sigma, 5S, and continuous improvement technologies. Functions as a technical resource in the areas of asset management. Assists with capital investment projects within defined areas of facility and asset management. Manages the facility's preventative maintenance programs. Must use CMMS system, MVP preferred. Administers the labor contract and company programs and policies with respect to safety, quality, scheduling, attendance, and discipline, etc. Works with the Engineering & Maintenance Manager and the operating departments to ensure that daily requirements and PM schedules and goals are established and met. Ability to supervise weekend maintenance activities and work all shifts (including afternoon and evening) as needed. Supports and maintains compliance with all Food Safety & Security policies and procedures. Other duties as assigned by Engineering and Maintenance Manager. JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Technical degree in the engineering field preferred. Will consider minimum 10 years' experience in lieu of degree. At least five years of supervisory background in engineering maintenance in a manufacturing environment. Food industry strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems, MVP is a plus and strong mechanical/ electrical experience with high speed packaging equipment. Must be familiar with welding, milling and fabrication. Must understand the safe and proper usage of shop equipment. Leadership/team building, continuous improvement, PLC training preferred. Must have proven and effective team building skills. Must have experience working with a unionized labor force. Must have strong leadership skills, problem solving abilities, and interpersonal skills. Should have extensive knowledge and experience of PM program development and implementation Extensive walking, some sitting, climbing and lifting for a minimum of 8 hours per day. Both strong verbal and written communication skills are a must with the ability to comprehend both types of communication. Strong trouble shooting and problem-solving skills.
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
Plant & Facilities ManagementEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
